The First Annual Fossil Road Show

On July 23rd, 2003 the Tumbler Ridge Museum Foundation and the Tumbler Ridge Public Library hosted the First Annual Fossil Road Show, where residents were encouraged to bring their rocks and fossils for identification by a panel of palaeontologists and geologists.

It was a very successful event with many people bringing several types of fossils including worm burrows, fossil insects and plants, trilobites and corals. The event had a carnival-like atmosphere and was highly enjoyable and informative for those on both sides of the table. There will certainly be a Second Annual Fossil Road Show in 2004.

A good turnout as the First Annual Fossil Road Show kicked off.
