Once the snow is off the ground it is time for palaeontology field work. It is the goal of the P.R.P.R.C. to systematically survey British Columbia's Peace Region to identify and assess the region's palaeontological resources. This includes vertebrate fossils (marine and terrestrial), invertebrate fossils, and plant fossils.

In addition to this survey work there are also a number of other field projects including the excavation of British Columbia's first fossil dinosaur bones, and the documentation of a variety of track sites.
