Original Building

The PRPRC was first established in August, 2003 in a warehouse in the industrial area in Tumbler Ridge at 128 Commercial Park. Initially the back two warehouse bays were all the space the museum had, but initially it was enough.

Over the next few years the museum grew and expanded into the rest of the warehouse building and inlcuded a small, public accessible palaeontology exhibit.

In the fall of 2008, the museum moved to its current location in a decommissioned elementary school building at 255 Murray Drive. The old museum location was utilized by others and became a hardware store. There are still clues visible that indicate the warehouses former use.
